Surrey Association for Visual Impairment. Making a visible difference in Surrey.
Above: Have YOU got the potential to be HIRED, not FIRED?
Your team has to make as much money as possible from a start up kitty of between £10 to £100 over a period of four months from October to February 2011.
To win, you will also be asked to demonstrate your ability to come up with innovative and imaginative business ideas.
So if you want to show off your managerial skills, resourcefulness and creativity, then why not take up the Surrey Apprentice Challenge now?
The entries will be judged by a five strong panel of judges representing businesses and organisations throughout Surrey including BBC TV series runner up Debra Barr
We are looking for teams of 2 to 6 young people aged between 16 and 25 to accept the Challenge. The Challenge provides you with an excellent management development opportunity which will not only enhance your CV but also help you develop skills such as personal learning, planning and networking.
You will also get the opportunity to benefit from free business mentoring, work towards a V50 award which is a volunteer award recognised by universities and take part in free visual impairment awareness training.
You will get the opportunity to spend a day with UK entrepreneur of the year Glen Manchester at his global communications company Thunderhead.
During the day, you will spend time with his senior management team who will offer an insight into all areas of the business including finance, marketing and product development. There will also be prizes for the runners-up.
