SAVI is here to help anyone whose eyesight has become a cause for concern whether they are registered as having a visual impairment or not. Many of our services are provided free of charge.
Any person resident in the administrative county of Surrey can make use of our services and can contact SAVI for support. If you live outside this area we can give you a contact for services in your local area.
We manage and update the Surrey County Council's register of people with visual impairment. If you wish to be registered we can provide information on the many benefits of registration.

- Classes in Braille, Moon and typing
- Use of magnifiers, lighting and reading equipment
- Everyday living skills and equipment to help cope in the home and at work
- Mobility training and equipment to help get about safely

Professional seminars for health and care professionals who may not be aware of the services we offer
Professional Seminars are free half day seminars designed for health and care professionals who may need to work with visually impaired people. They give a brief overview of SAVI's work and are particularly useful for new staff who may not be aware of the services we offer. The seminar, held at SAVI, covers: - Rehabilitation Team

- Volunteering
- Visit to Resource Centre and Low Vision Centre
- Visit to Access Technology Centre and Rehabilitation kitchen
