Surrey Association for Visual Impairment. Making a visible difference in Surrey.
SAVI's quarterly newsletter 'Lines of Sight' is now available as an MP3 download, to listen to online, or download to listen to later. The summer edition, available here, has even more pages than usual and has been recorded in small sections, so that you can listen to a couple of pages at a time, as and when it suits you. The print version is also available here.
SAVI is delighted to be chosen by the Mayor of Epsom and Ewell as one of her charities this year. The Mayor Cllr Jean Steer, has chosen three charities and SAVI will be able to support the Access Technology service with funds raised. Look out on the fundraising pages for Epsom and Ewell events.
A series of fundraising events will be held over the year. See our Fundraising Events page for details of the current programme.
SAVI have produced a DVD/Video about Visual Impairment and Deafblindness. The DVD explains the different sorts of visual impairment and how best to assist a visually impaired or deafblind person. Whilst it does not supersede the value of SAVI's practical training, the DVD is a valuable induction tool to become more aware of the needs of visually impaired and deafblind people.
