Redhill - one to one training every other week for a period of twelve weeks. Three students per day, six lessons in total. Training offered in all accessible software, ad hoc issues considered. Prerequisites are that the client should have keyboard skills and their own computer with the appropriate software.
Claygate - six week course, group training in Guide software (maximum 4 students per session), prerequisites are a bit more flexible, but the students should either already own or be intending to purchase both a computer and Guide software.

Following SAVI’s advice, Elmbridge Borough Council’s Claygate Centre for the Community has recently installed five copies of Dolphin’s Guide Software assisting people with visual impairment to access this local facility. The Centre has also bought a jumbo keyboard and a high contrast keyboard as well as headphones to use with the software further enhancing the computer suite at the Centre.
In partnership with SAVI Elmbridge is developing computer training for visually impaired people in the North West of Surrey.
All seven Centre’s have had their computer facilities upgraded to provide computer training for Silver Sufers (for people over the age of 50) in partnership with Digital Unite and facilities for the local community.
SAVI and Elmbridge will be working jointly to deliver ICT training using specialist trainers. For more information about Claygate Centre visit www.elmbridge.gov.uk/centres or to book a time to come down and use the PCs telephone the Centre Manager on 01372 463476.
