Communication Classes
Above: A SAVI Communication Class
SAVI currently offers six Communication Classes around the county. Clients are able to learn:
- Moon
- Braille
- Touch Typing
- Computer Training (some locations)
These skills, as well as the essential social contact, can make a huge difference to the independence and confidence of a visually impaired person.
Classes are run in Addlestone, Bletchingley, Camberley, Godalming, Guildford and Horley. New members are welcome
Following an assessment by our Rehabilitation officers. The classes currently support over seventy five people and nearly forty volunteers help to support the classes as well as our Specialist Rehabilitation Officers and Class Facilitators.
